How to Install & Activate a Plugin From WordPress Dashboard

Before You Start

If you are using WordPress.com, then you cannot install plugins unless you upgrade to business plan. This guide is for WordPress.org, the self hosted WordPress.

In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to install and activate a plugin from the WordPress dashboard.

Step 1: Login to your WordPress dashboard. The default url to login to your dashboard is something like this: yourdomainname.com/wp-admin

Step 3: From the WordPress dashboard, hover your mouse on plugins from the left section and click on Add New.

Or You can also click the installed plugins link and see the list of plugins installed. You can add new plugins from there also. It is always recommended to install plugins that are compatible with your WordPress version.
